You will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform as part of a multicloud environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, resilient, scalable and secure solutions that meet business requirementsWhat you'll do:Working closely with our IT colleagues (including Information Security, Networks, Infrastructure and Support) design, implement and maintain Google Cloud core infrastructure and resources to support our businessAutomate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD DevSecOps toolsMonitor and troubleshoot cloud environments ensuring high availability and performanceWorking with Information Security, assist in the implementation and management of security best practices, including access control, data encryption and threat detectionCollaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systemsStay up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud technologies and industry best practicesContribute to the improvement of cloud operations and processesWhat you'll bring:3-5 years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer (preferrably on GCP)Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their Google Cloud implementation including networking, storage and security as well as other concepts such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaSExperience and understanding of enterprise patterns and best practices around building out GCP for a regulated organisation (e.g. Landing Zones, Enterprise foundations blueprint, network and connectivity options, etc.)Proven experience with DevSecOps practices (e.g. Git, CI/CD) and tools such as Google Cloud DevOps, Cloud Build, GitHub Enterprise and GitLabStrong proficiency with IaC tools which must include TerraformSolid understanding of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)Experience with scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, Bash and PythonRelevant Google Cloud certifications are a plusRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
