Graduate Opportunity - Multimedia ExecutiveBarretstown is a charity organisation located in Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare which serves children affected by cancer and other serious illness through its residential programmes and through outreach programmes in hospitals, schools and communities across Ireland. Barretstown has served over 150,000 campers since it was founded in 1994Barretstown is Ireland's largest provider of medically endorsed therapeutic camps and programmes for children affected by cancer and other serious illnesses. Its services align to the objectives of the National Cancer Strategy in providing for the unmet psychosocial needs of children impacted by cancer and other serious illnesses.The RoleWe are seeking a creative and enthusiastic recent graduate to join our dynamic team as a Multimedia Executive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in digital content creation and graphic design to develop their skills in a meaningful, mission-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling visual content that brings Barretstown's mission to life across multiple channels, telling the stories of the children and families we serve while supporting our fundraising and awareness efforts.The role will involve duties that fall under graphic design, brand support and digital content creation.Graphic DesignDesign graphics for social media posts, campaigns, and digital advertisingCreate marketing materials including flyers, posters, and event collateralDesign email newsletter graphics and digital communications materialsDevelop simple infographics and visual content for reports and presentationsSupport the creation of branded templates for consistent visual identityDesign materials for fundraising campaigns and donor communicationsAssist with website content updates including optimized graphics and visual elementsBrand SupportEnsure all creative output aligns with Barretstown's brand guidelinesCollaborate on campaign concepts and content ideasWork closely with programme staff to capture authentic camp experiencesSupport fundraising and events teams with their content needsAttend camps, events, and activities to capture content (may include occasional weekend work)Contribute creative ideas and stay informed about digital content trendsDigital Content CreationCreate engaging video content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTokFilm and edit footage from camps, events, and programmes while maintaining sensitivity to safeguarding protocolsProduce short-form video content including social media clips, event highlights, and testimonials____________________________________________________________________________Requirements/ ExperienceRecent graduate with a degree or diploma in Multimedia, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communications or related fields (graduated within the last 2 years)Solid graphic design fundamentals including typography, color theory, and layoutExperience in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and After EffectsBasic video editing and production skills with understanding of storytelling principlesFamiliarity with content formats social media platformsPhotography skills and comfort using digital camerasGood written and verbal communication skillsExperience with content management systems or website platformsWhat we offerCompetitive graduate salaryComprehensive on-the-job training and professional developmentOpportunity to build a diverse portfolio across multiple content typesPension scheme and health insuranceOn-site parkingSocial activities and team eventsThe opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and familiesWork in a supportive, mission-driven environment with a passionate teamJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term, GraduateContract length: 24 monthsWork Location: In personApplication deadline: 07/11/2025
