Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our diagnostic systems. Your primary focus will be on setting up and testing systems and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet all specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting up and testing systems and sub-assemblies against test specifications.
* Performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications, and methodologies.
* Preparing samples, reagents, and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules.
* Establishing causes of malfunction and non-conformance in electrical, hydraulic, and chemical operation of systems and modules with minimum loss of test time.
* Checking each system against each branch order to ensure customer receives correct systems, peripherals included if required.
* Assisting Engineering in initial installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment, and products.
* Assisting Engineering in design of test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures, preliminary system test/inspection procedures.
* Completing and maintaining necessary paperwork, test data, etc., for each system/module to ensure accurate Q.C records are available.
* Overseeing and checking repair work to ensure fault is corrected and conforms to Siemens specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require the following skills and qualifications:
* Third-level qualification (Engineering Degree/Diploma/QQI Level 6 Certificate in Engineering).
* 2 years experience in similar manufacturing environment.
* Ability to train new personnel or existing technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules.
* Excellent PC skills (e.g., Word, Excel, Microsoft Windows, SAP).
