Overview:A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a MaintenancePlanning and Scheduling Engineer. The role, as advertised, is an 11 -monthcontract but may/may not be extended to meet business requirements.Reporting to the Maintenance Lead the Maintenance Planner will play a key role in theplanning and execution of the maintenance program. The Maintenance Planner willeffectively plan and schedule maintenance work to enable effective and timelyexecution. The planner will have strong technical knowledge of equipment designand maintenance with the ability to map out repair plans in a standard workformat.
RequirementsResponsibilities:Assist in the development, implementation, and day to dayoperation of the site Maintenance system.In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, coordinatethe Work Scheduling process to ensure site specific targets on maintenancebacklog management are achieved.Plan PM & CM work orders by visiting job sites,booking/ordering materials, writing task lists, performing risk assessmentsetc. working closely with contract providers to plan work requests.Continue to develop the PPM (Planned and PredictiveMaintenance) system including writing job plans and assigning maintenancefrequencies.Operation and execution of the Planning and PreventativeMaintenance (PPM) Change Control System.Support the equipment breakdown process in finding rootcause and identifying correct CAPA's.Purchasing of spare parts and supporting inventorycontrol.Gate Keeping Role to review incoming work requests toensure data accuracy, correct work type and to manage CM (CorrectiveMaintenance) Backlogs.Plan, estimate, and assist in the coordination allaspects of maintenance and project activities associated with the MaintenanceShutdowns.Support the development of the equipment annual reviewand support the team in the development of periodic OOT trend report.Support the implementation maintenance best practicemethodologies/technologies including the MPS, OPPS and 8 Step processes.Liaise with Reliability Engineers on criticalityassessments in developing new maintenance strategies/plans for new assets.Contractor Management responsible for ensuring all GMPdocumentation in place prior to executing work. What skills you will need:Trade qualification and or a 3rd level qualification in arelevant discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance, preferably ina manufacturing GMP environment.Knowledge and experience of CMMS systems is essential.SAP and ProCal, an advantage.Experience of managing vendors and contractors.Good understanding of World Class Maintenance practicesand expectations.Knowledge of maintenance systems and work practices forboth electrical and mechanical crafts.Knowledge of predictive and condition -monitoringmaintenance techniques and their applications.Leadership, communication, decision making andproblem -solving skills with a proven track record for effectively collaboratingand working well within a team.High personal integrity, credibility and energy.
