Health Care Assistant
This is a healthcare role where you will assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision and direction of qualified nursing personnel.
The Health Care Assistant has a clear relationship with the Clinical Nurse Manager or their deputy. The Healthcare Assistant also reports to the Assistant Director of Nursing.
There is accountability for actions in delivering patient care, and it must not undertake any duty related to patient care for which it is not trained.

Please note that applicants who do not have an existing relevant qualification at QQI Level 5 will be required to complete this within two years of taking up post as per policy guidelines if selected.
Eligible candidates are those possessing a health skills qualification outlined at QQI Level 5, currently employed as a Health Care Worker with a commitment to acquire appropriate qualifications within specified timelines; otherwise referred from public service organizations only by way medical documentation supporting appointment on HCA Pay-scale (€35,- €44,984)
