Title: Assistant Clinical Project Manager, National Education Lead in Neurology Nursing
Department: Research Ireland FutureNeuro Centre for Translational Brain Science, RCSI
Tenure: Specified purpose contract for 12 months (Maternity leave cover)
Working Hours: Full-time (or 0.8FTE considered). Flexible working hours normally between 8:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Location: Dept of Neurology, Beaumont Hospital (main), FutureNeuro Research Centre, RCSI, 123 St Stephens Green (secondary). Hybrid working possible.
Reporting to: Bridget Doyle, Centre Manager, FutureNeuro, RCSI, with indirect reporting to Prof Tom O Connor and Prof Orla Hardiman.
Salary: At Staff Nurse level with >3 years’ experience or Research Assistant (point 13)

Background: The role supports the development of a Neurology Nursing postgraduate diploma, involving coordination across multiple stakeholders and supporting clinical training, policy development, and research in neurology nursing at a national level.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the Project Manager in embedding clinical training at a national level, engaging stakeholders.
* Prepare project updates and milestones.
* Build relationships to support course delivery and promotion.
* Assist in funding applications and evaluation processes.
Support Course Development and Research:
* Coordinate educational leads and research projects.
* Promote research awareness and application in nursing practice.
Specialist & Advanced Practice:
* Support development of clinical capacity and roles within neurology nursing.
* Assist in implementing professional standards and policies.
Professional/Personal Development:
* Engage in activities to enhance role performance.
The post involves additional duties as required, contributing to the development of the role.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Nursing, Health Science, or Health Policy.
* Experience in project management within healthcare.
* Knowledge of clinical research and evidence-based practice.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and IT skills.
* Full clean driving license and access to transport required for travel.
