5 Axis CNC Miller – Programmer
Location: Longford, Republic of Ireland
Salary: €45,000 – €50,000 per annum
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate
Hours: Days-based, 40 hours
A well-established precision engineering business in Longford is seeking an experienced 5 axis CNC Miller to join their high-performing team. Known for their ability to deliver complex, tight-tolerance components to leading manufacturers across multiple industries, this is a business investing in cutting-edge machinery and long-term staff development.
As part of their CNC milling team, you’ll be working on Matsuura machines and programming via SolidCAM – though the team are open to individuals with experience using any CAM system and any 5-axis machine platform.

5 Axis CNC Miller Responsibilities:
Program, set and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines
Produce high-precision components to customer specifications
Use CAM software (SolidCAM or equivalent) for CNC programming
Interpret technical drawings and follow tight tolerances
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and quality
Work overtime as needed, paid at time and a half
5 Axis CNC Miller Profile:
Proven background in 5-axis CNC milling
Confident in offline programming using any CAM package (e.g. SolidCAM, Fusion 360, Hypermill, MasterCAM)
Experienced in producing small batch and complex components
Strong understanding of precision engineering principles
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Matsuura experience advantageous but not essential
