Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Professional
Job Description:
Our organisation is seeking a seasoned health and safety expert to play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our team members and clients. As a Senior Health and Safety Professional, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations across various sites, promoting compliance, and fostering a culture of safety.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with experience in conducting audits and site inspections. They will also possess excellent communication skills, allowing them to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Act as a point of contact for health and safety queries, providing guidance and support to contractors and utility operators
* Champion behavioural safety initiatives and contribute to the development of a safety-first culture
* Compile and deliver regional health and safety reports, tracking key performance indicators and trends
* Lead or support post-incident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are documented and shared
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
* Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a safety advisory or similar role
* Experience in water utilities, construction, or other related infrastructure sectors
* Proven track record in conducting audits and site inspections
* Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and experience working with safety management systems
