Group Senior Financial AccountantFixed Term (15 months) with the possibility to extend to a permanent roleCentric Health, founded in 2003, is a leading provider of integrated healthcare services with over 80 GP practices across Ireland, serving 200,000 patients annually. We are expanding rapidly in the primary healthcare sector across Europe, including Ireland, the Netherlands, and Germany. Our support office is located on the 7th floor of the Intact House, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin, D16 FC92.The finance team is responsible for monthly management accounts & related reporting, and statutory annual audited accounts for the group including Ireland, the Netherlands, and Germany. Dependent family members living at home also included.Sick Leave: Upon completion of your probation, the Company will pay a basic salary totalling a maximum of 2 weeks of your contracted hours.GP Visits: All Centric employees plus immediate family are eligible for discounted GP visits, in our Centric Health Practices.Indemnity: Indemnity is covered under the Company's policy.Birthday Day OffMaternity Leave / Paternity LeaveFlexible Working hoursProfessional development supportSpecific Job Details:Position Title: Group Senior Financial AccountantLocation: Centric Health Support Office, Floor 7, Intact Building, Dundrum, Dublin 16 D16 FC92Direct Report: Group Financial ControllerThe successful candidate will work primarily on the Germany business and its integration into Group reporting and also support Group accounting and reporting. They will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:Accounting & Financial ReportingPreparation of monthly management accounts, for the German business, (in conjunction with local German finance colleagues) and allocated Ireland business units. Responsible for the production of accurate P&L within specified tight deadlines, in line with Group Accounting standards and monthly reconciliations to Local Germany GAAP.Review of monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliations for all Germany practices and allocated Irish Balance Sheet sections - including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, intercompany transactions and other relevant monthly schedules and accounting transactions. Assisting the local German team in the format of schedules for their preparation.Responsibility for ensuring the team maintain high quality of back up schedules and balance sheet controls in line with Group standards.Review and analysis of management accounts for trend analysis, budget versus actuals and prior year comparisons.Preparation of monthly German financial reports with insightful analysis for reporting to internal and external stakeholders, shareholders and lenders to tight deadlines.Responsible for investment and goodwill sections of the Balance Sheet, accounting transactions and the preparation and presentation of related monthly Balance Sheet schedules.Ensuring compliance with Group internal control standards.Preparing financial information to support the annual budget and periodic forecasting.Statutory ReportingPreparing detailed information for the annual audit.Lead role in answering audit queries for Germany and assigned Irish business units and assigned Balance Sheet sections.Annual reconciliation of Local German Statutory accounts to group accounting, clearly identifying local GAAP adjustments.Team & Project ManagementManage a small team of finance staff (German and Dublin based) who work on German accounting - monthly and annual accounts preparation and associated accounting and finance processing. Delegation and review of team members work and providing supportive and constructive feedback.Take on a lead role in the overall finance team and share knowledge, skills and experience to support the development of all team members.Leading and project management of system & process improvement, designing new processes to improve the effectiveness and synergies across regions in thefinance function in a growing organisation.Ensuring compliance with best practice internal control processes.Supporting a busy and dynamic finance function with assigned daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tasks and reports.Any other assigned duties that are relevant to this role.Position Requirements:3 years+ post-practice experience in industryIdeally Big 8 practice-qualified ACA/ACCAEuropean Language - German an advantageStaff management and supervision experience an advantageDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team across different countriesAccounts Package - Microsoft Business Central an advantageExcellent skills in ExcelStrong time management skills with an ability to prioritise a busy and demanding workloadExcellent interpersonal skills and team player mentality as the person will deal internally with different colleagues for each business unit, with business managers and internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement change.Innovative and solution focused attitude to problem solving.Ability to plan and implement assigned project to successful completion on time and within budget.Confident committed individual who works well under pressure and enjoys a fast-paced innovative workplace.All Centric staff have a responsibility to work with the company risk management strategy and its requirements.Centric Health is an equal opportunities employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce#ING1
