Manufacturing Engineer - Galway
Our client in Galway, a leading manufacturer in the Life Science and Medical Device sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of production processes, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will:
1. Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues on machines and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Maintain and update technical documentation for equipment and systems.
3. Provide technical support and guidance to technical operators.
4. Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available when needed.
5. Maintain a spares management system to track usage and reorder parts efficiently.
6. Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize machine availability and performance.
7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, qualified or part-qualified Maintenance Technician (Electrical).
2. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team with common goals.
