Job Title: Chief Financial Operations Officer
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially focused finance professional to lead our finance function and play a key role in driving performance across the organisation.
This is a key appointment offering significant influence, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to the leadership team.
* Reporting Structure:
The successful candidate will report to senior management and take full responsibility for financial reporting, control, and commercial finance activities.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
o Budgeting, Forecasting, and Capital Expenditure Budgeting: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure budgeting processes.
o Detailed Costing & Margin Analysis: Conduct detailed costing, product margin analysis, and enhancement of margin performance.
o Cashflow Oversight & Day-to-Day Cash Management: Oversee cash flow and manage day-to-day cash operations.
o Compliance with Accounting Standards & Taxation Requirements: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and taxation requirements.
o Perpetual Stock Systems & Related Financial Integrity: Manage perpetual stock systems and ensure related financial integrity.
o Delivering Timely, Accurate Management Information: Provide timely and accurate management information on product performance, revenue, costs, and stock.
* Leadership & Operational Oversight:
o Management of Office-Based Teams: Lead office-based teams including Accounts, Purchasing, HR (payroll), and Administration.
o Providing Strong Leadership, Structure, and Accountability: Ensure high-performing administrative function through strong leadership, structure, and accountability.
o Coaching, Mentoring, and Developing Direct Reports: Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports to improve capability and efficiency.
* Commercial & Strategic Contribution:
o Improving Margins & Strengthening Commercial Performance: Contribute to improving margins and strengthening commercial performance.
o SUPPORTING DECISION-MAKING ACROSS THE ORGANISATION: Support decision-making through clear presentation of financials.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant: Hold a qualification in accountancy (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Relevant Post-Qualification Experience: Have relevant post-qualification experience.
* Strong Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical skills.
* Hands-on Experience in Costing & Margin Analysis: Have hands-on experience in costing and margin analysis.
* Proven Ability to Manage, Coach, and Influence a Diverse Team: Demonstrate proven ability to manage, coach, and influence a diverse team.
* Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills.
