Job Overview
The EHS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs within our organization. This role will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, evaluate, administer, and implement EHS policies and programs in collaboration with EHS Manager.
2. Assist in managing site activities that impact areas of EHS regulatory compliance with national and local regulations.
3. Provide regulatory guidance and administration support on all EHS regulations to impacted groups.
4. Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste management contracts.
5. Prepare and/or assist with composing regulatory, corporate, and facility reports.
6. Provide specialized training to employees on EHS topics.
7. Coordinate the Emergency Response Team program.
8. Engage employees to create an inclusive and ownership culture for Safety.
9. Drive positive action and performance through attending and chairing safety committee meetings.
10. Support safety forums by providing direction, focus on key safety topics, and relevant safety information.
11. Lead EHS Risk Assessment program to ensure facilities, equipment, tasks, ergonomics, and chemicals are appropriately risk assessed.
12. Support accident/incident investigation to ensure appropriate root cause analysis completed and CAPAs implemented.
13. Coordinate EHS promotional activities to create a culture of engagement.
14. Complete regular audits to ensure the business meets all EHS Regulatory and Corporate requirements and engage relevant team members on the GEMBA.
15. Perform EHS Change management review(s) for any new equipment or process within the site.
16. Lead campus-wide EHS programs as assigned.
17. Identify, develop, and implement EHS improvement projects.
18. Ensure EHS communication and training plans are maintained and implemented.
19. Evaluate new initiatives, projects, and plans from an EHS perspective for the organization.
20. Document, promote, and track EHS Observations.
