KildareFull-time | PermanentReports to: Operations ManagerAbout the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead and oversee all production and maintenance activities in a busy manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient delivery of finished goods in line with production plans, quality standards, and customer expectations.Key Responsibilities:Production Leadership & OperationsLead and manage daily and weekly production activities to meet targets and drive operational performanceOversee team rostering and ensure efficient workforce planningMonitor production output and initiate root cause analysis where KPIs are not metCollaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Technical, and other departments to resolve production constraintsTeam Management & DevelopmentProvide strong leadership to the production team and build a high-performance cultureIdentify and develop team leaders, ensuring cross-training and labour cover for key rolesManage staff performance, absences, and disciplinary matters in line with HR policiesConduct regular one-to-one meetings, team briefings, and performance appraisalsStandards & ComplianceEnsure adherence to SOPs and compliance with relevant food safety and audit standards (e.g., BRC)Provide data for internal and external audits, representing the production function professionallySupport hygiene and technical teams in achieving and maintaining site standardsContinuous ImprovementLead and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production processesDrive a culture of problem-solving and collaboration across departmentsAudit production standards and implement corrective actions where requiredHealth, Safety & EnvironmentEnsure all production tasks are carried out safely and in compliance with site policiesMaintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and waste managementSupport environmental compliance efforts and staff training on relevant proceduresWhat You’ll Need:Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role (food manufacturing preferred)3+ years’ experience managing teams in a high-paced environmentStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skillsKnowledge of compliance standards (BRC or equivalent)Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with manufacturing software a plusExcellent attention to detail and a hands-on, flexible approachWhy Apply?This role offers the chance to lead a dynamic production team in a fast-moving, quality-focused manufacturing environment.
