We seek an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Computational Chemistry with a proven record of teaching, research, and publication.
The appointee will contribute to the Department's teaching programme, undertaking duties on undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and supervising Master's and PhD students.
A strong research profile is expected to support the University's research strategy, including affiliation with Research Institutes and collaboration with national and international colleagues.
The Department of Chemistry requires expertise in computational chemistry to build on existing research strengths in Health-related research or Environmental/Sustainable Chemistry areas.
Areas of interest include drug design, biomolecular simulations, materials modelling for energy storage/conversion, and environmental process/pollutant study using computational methods.
AI, chemometrics, or drug design modelling expertise is highly desirable.
The candidate will contribute to curricular developments, designing new courses to promote UN Sustainable Development Goals principles or integrate work-readiness skills into our programmes.
