This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join a dedicated Adult Safeguarding Duty Screening Team. We have positions available in Drogheda (Louth) and Navan (Meath).
This is your chance to make a real difference, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of at-risk adults in a crucial frontline role.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Adult Safeguarding Duty Screening Team, you will play a crucial role in protecting and advocating for at-risk adults by:
1. Screening and assessing safeguarding concerns related to elder abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and coercive control.
2. Conducting risk assessments, triaging cases, and making recommendations for further intervention.
3. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, community partners, and legal services.
4. Engaging with families, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes.
5. Providing guidance and supporting decision-making based on national safeguarding policies and frameworks.
6. Maintaining clear, professional, and accurate documentation and case notes.
Essential Criteria:
7. CORU registered Social Worker (essential).
8. Proven experience in adult safeguarding, social work leadership, or related fields.
9. Strong knowledge of HSE Safeguarding Policy, risk assessment, and intervention strategies.
10. Excellent leadership, communication, and advocacy skills.
11. Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
12. Full clean driving licence and access to transport is essential
13. Valid Garda and overseas clearances (if applicable).
