Job Summary:An opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and motivatedCAD Technicianto join a dynamic engineering and construction team based inCork. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and supporting design teams on a variety of civil infrastructure and utilities projects across Ireland.Key Responsibilities:Produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for civil, structural, and utility works.Work closely with engineers, site teams, and project managers to develop construction and as-built drawings.Update and revise existing drawings to reflect design changes and site modifications.Assist in the preparation of drawings for planning submissions, tender documents, and construction packages.Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal quality procedures.Maintain drawing registers and document control in line with project requirements.Coordinate with other departments and disciplines to ensure consistency and integration of design data.Requirements:Essential:Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and other relevant CAD software.Minimum 2 years of experience in a CAD Technician role within a civil, utilities, or construction environment.Familiarity with civil engineering drawings, including drainage, water, road, and utility layouts.Good understanding of technical standards, drawing conventions, and construction methods.Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.Desirable:Experience with 3D modelling software (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit).Knowledge of BIM processes or experience working in a BIM environment.Familiarity with Irish Water and local authority standards.Formal qualification in CAD or a related discipline (e.g., Civil Engineering Technician).Benefits:Competitive salary, dependent on experienceOpportunity to work on high-profile civil and infrastructure projectsOngoing professional development and training supportSupportive and collaborative working environmentCareer progression opportunities
