The role will be based in the Mondelez manufacturing plant in Coolock which manufactures products for the Chocolate business unit.
Products include Flake, Twirl, Cadbury Dairy Milk Moulded bars and Boost brands which are supplied to customers in Europe.
The plant is part of the Mondelez Integrated Supply Chain.
The role will be an integral part of the plant team responsible for delivering business results in machine efficiency while delivering all teams operational targets in safety, cost, quality, sustainability and morale.
This role is accountable for delivering a robust predictive, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair and upgrading for all mechanical and electrical processes on an assigned automated plant.
This is executed in a manner which enables the plant to safely, economically and efficiently conduct business.
How you will contribute Delivery of Operational Results Troubleshoot and fix electrical and mechanical equipment problems, both routine and complex using a defined method of problem solving and root cause.
Resolution of process and automated control systems issues associated with high speed packing and making equipment.
Be aware of machine performance during the shift with proactive quick response to fixing electrical and mechanical unplanned breakdowns.
Keep stakeholders (other maintenance Technicians, Engineering and Team managers, Operators) communicated during unplanned maintenance downtime or situations that may involve equipment being down for longer than expected.
Call in extra help from colleagues / your manager as required to ensure minimising of downtime.
Reading of electrical schematics and wiring documents both routine and complex as required as part of the problem-solving process.
Lead preventative maintenance adherence for your assigned plant to ensure activities are done on time and recorded in full on the designated forms or SAP system.
Report any unusual observations where applicable.
Work with the site preventative maintenance planner to identify changes to PM programme as part of continuous improvement.
Input downtime data into the GEMBA data gathering system and be able to drill down and analyse downtime issues and develop technical action plans to resolve issues.
Ensure that all process parameters / centre lining settings are recorded properly and work with plant centrelining owner to define new settings.
Support all continuous improvement projects as required to help improve equipment reliability.
Work to the highest engineering standards while maintaining safety requirements at all times.
Assist with commissioning of new and existing equipment as needed Be engaged in safety, quality compliance, continuous improvement and GMP as a routine part of job responsibilities Lead and assist in planning co-ordination and performance of shutdown and major maintenance task.
Demonstrate flexibility and mobility as needed to support operational needs.
Ability to change to any shift pattern to meet the business needs.
Lean methodology/ Process Improvements.
Operate from zero loss / lean methodology mind set and be actively involved in Kaizan's, root cause analysis, short interval control meetings and six sigma approaches to drive a continuous improvement and engagement culture.
Participate actively in communication meetings as part of driving alignment and continuous improvement.
Lead and be involved in continuous improvement activity with your team to get to root cause of systemic issues.
Train other maintenance technicians or operators in the use of tools and equipment as set out by the company as part of continuous improvement.

You will bring experience and knowledge in: Level 6 QQI or equivalent in electrical senior trades.
Preferred formal qualification, or equivalent experience in the electrical trade post original qualification.
Experience in the electrical trade, preferably with recognised qualifications.
Preferred experience in Allen Bradley PLC controls and logic.
Minimum 5 years troubleshooting downtime on mechanical and electrical high speed filling, packaging equipment and utilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
Making machine adjustments, experience with reading electrical schematic drawings, experience with pumps motors and drives; knowledge in the use of precision tools and instruments.

Proven track record of problem solving using data and being involved in process / continuous improvements Demonstrated in depth technical skills 5 years minimum experience working in a controlled manufacturing environment covering GMP/ Food safety standards/ Quality
