Definition The Tirln Operational Readiness Program (ORP) is applied to pre-selected CapEx projects to ensure a standard and consistent approach.
Operational readiness is defined as the process of preparing the end users of an asset under construction, and their supporting organization, in a way that they: Are fully ready to assume ownership of the asset at the point of delivery or handover.
Accept responsibility for, and are capable of, operating the asset in a safe, efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly way.
Have laid the foundations of operational excellence to avoid disruptions during start up, ramp up and full operation.
Role Profile This Quality ORP role is based in Ballyragget, Co.
Kilkenny.
The role will provide quality oversight and support for Whey Investment Project, ensuring compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards across all project phases.
The position reports to the ORP lead and will work closely with the Quality Manager, Engineering, R&D, and other stakeholders to deliver a successful project outcome.
Responsibilities Develop an in-depth understanding of all quality requirements for the site and assess implications of the proposed project.
Advocate for Quality standards to ensure delivery of a compliant, practical, and audit-ready project solution.
Daily engagement with the Project Team including project engineer(s), suppliers & contractors, Tirlns ORP Lead, and management to address quality related issues.
Represent the best interests of end-users during project design and scoping, ensuring EHS & Quality are among the considerations of the project Define and agree Key Quality Performance Indicators (KPIs) with the Project Team.
Maintain engagement with all stakeholder departments to ensure quality requirements are integrated at every project phase.
Ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability are prioritized in all design and build discussions.
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality commissioning protocol, including validation plans, testing, and documentation updates.
Collaborate with project engineers to align commissioning timelines with quality testing and vendor support requirements while ensuring sufficient allowances made for QC testing capabilities Coordinate all quality-related training requirements and ensure SOPs, HACCP plans, and quality documentation are updated prior to start-up.
Requirements Min.
Degree in Food Science, Engineering or Processing Discipline.
2-4 yrs experience in a Food Manufacturing or Pharma based business.
Ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent planning/scheduling skills.
