Note: This description reflects an Ireland-based Consulting Service Line Operations Director role with leadership responsibilities in driving business performance and operational execution within EY UK&I/ Ireland markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Support full business planning cycle – Growth Investment plans, Budgets, Service Delivery Model (SDM) / strategic workforce plans and MLOs / Reforecasts.
* Closely monitor business performance and outlook: agreeing and driving interventions with the leadership at Service Line, Sub Service Line, Markets/Sector & Competency levels; work with Operational teams to maximise performance.
* Oversee SDM delivery including headcount management and recruitment, and initiatives to optimise offshore/nearshore deployments.
* Pricing: assist in developing pricing policies and contribute to shaping profitable sales with Service Line, Sub Service Line and Market leadership.
* Oversee engagement financials/margin and working capital performance; collaborate with Finance and leverage Sub Area / Service Line initiatives as appropriate.
* Lead development and delivery of Consulting’s Reward strategy, coordinating with CBS Reward and Talent teams (pay level, VPS/bonus delivery, annual pay review).
* Indirect Cost management: ensure effective discretionary cash spend and influence around indirect spend with CBS.
* Lead other Service Line strategic and operational projects as required.
* Member of Consulting’s Management Team; provide leadership and coaching to the Service Line operations team and CBS supporting teams.
* Build and maintain a network with peers across SL / CBS and Region (e.g., UK&I Super Region Management Team, FSO and other UK&I Service Lines).

* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financials in EY/similar environments.

* Strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture; capability to drive and manage change.
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; people/team management and coaching abilities.
* Strong numeracy skills; ability to turn raw data into actionable information.
