We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems & Support Specialist to join our team. This role provides hands-on technical support, ensures reliable operation of our multi-office network infrastructure, and manages cloud-based applications used across the organisation. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, cloud administration experience, and a passion for improving IT efficiency and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
* Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for both in-office and remote users.
* Implement group wide IT management suite
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues across multiple locations (Mayo, Sligo, Galway, Dublin and Limerick).
* Support office technology such as VoIP phones, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
Cloud Infrastructure & Application Support
* Manage and maintain cloud-based platforms (Microsoft 365/Azure, Google Workspace).
* Ensure uptime and performance of cloud-hosted insurance applications (Applied Relay, Hubspot, etc.).
* Oversee data access, file sharing, and backup systems within the cloud environment.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
* Monitor and maintain endpoint protection tools (antivirus, EDR, MFA, etc.).
* Enforce security protocols including password policies, encryption, and access controls.
* Conduct routine security audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
Network & Systems Management
* Oversee WAN and VPN connectivity for all offices and remote users.
* Configure and maintain routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
* Monitor network performance, uptime, and security alerts.
User Account & Access Management
* Handle user onboarding/offboarding, including email and system access setup.
* Maintain directory services (Microsoft 365/Azure AD with cloud sync).
* Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations for enterprise applications.
Communication & Collaboration Tools
* Administer Microsoft Teams or other collaboration platforms.
* Provide user support and training on remote communication tools.
Documentation & Training
* Create and maintain IT documentation (network diagrams, setup guides, incident logs).
* Develop and deliver user training on cybersecurity, cloud tools, and remote access procedures.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
* Manage automated cloud-based backup systems.
* Test and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Vendor & Software Management
* Liaise with software vendors and service providers for licensing and support.
* Oversee updates and patching for critical business applications.
IT Project Management & Planning
* Plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades, office moves, and hardware deployments.
* Evaluate new technologies to improve operations and efficiency.
* Assist with IT budgeting and procurement planning.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related field.
* Proficiency with Windows environment, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD.
* Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, switches).
* Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Workspace).
* Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
* Familiar with group IT hardware controls/management
* Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Pay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
