Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and motivated consultant to join our dynamic and growing team at CG Business Consulting. As part of our consultancy, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders in sustainability and ISO certification, helping businesses across Ireland achieve their environmental goals. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of projects, including sustainability strategy development, carbon reduction initiatives, ISO standard implementations, and client training programs.

Qualifications Considered
* Diploma or Bachelor\'s Degree: Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
* Master\'s Degree (Preferred): Sustainability Management, Climate Change, Environmental Management, or a related field with a focus on sustainability practices.
Essential Skills Required
* Understanding or strong interest in sustainability principles, including carbon footprint management, ESG practices, net-zero pathways, and CSRD/ESRS reporting.
* Familiarity or strong interest in decarbonisation strategies and renewable energy management.
* Knowledge of European and global sustainability regulations.
* Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed reports and presentations
* Ability to Multitask
* Management of documentation
* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and integrity in sustainability data management.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Beneficial but Not Essential Skills/Qualifications
* Knowledge of ISO standards such as ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol, ISO 17029, ISO 14065, ISO 14064-3, CSRD, ESRS and another related standards.
* Training in ISO auditing or GHG inventory management.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement and communication within sustainability projects.
* Ability to conduct sustainability validations, verifications, and audits.
* Analytical skills for conducting carbon footprint assessments and sustainability reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Conduct carbon footprint assessments for organisations in accordance with ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol requirements and sustainability Information, following ISO 17029 and ISO 14065.
* Support the validation and verification of sustainability claims, including carbon footprints, net-zero pathways and carbon neutrality.
* Participate in sustainability audits and provide recommendations for improvements in sustainability practices.
* Analyse and interpret data from sustainability assessments to provide actionable insights.
* Prepare detailed and accurate reports on sustainability assessments, validations, and verifications.
* Assist in the training of internal and external stakeholders on sustainability standards and practices.
* Ensure compliance with ISO standards during all validation and verification processes.
* Support in the development and maintenance of the management systems in accordance with international standards.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainability standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of the industry.
* Provide logistical, operational and technical follow up of all validation/verification processes as well as of the training services.
* Support the development of new conformity assessment schemes.
