We are seeking a Senior Contract Manager to work with us on a project in Ireland.ResponsibilitiesEnsure alignment and compliance with contract management standards, terms, and conditions (e.g., NEC suite) throughout all activities, reporting any non-complianceManage commercial relationships with contractors and consultants to drive continuous improvement in deliveryReview draft contracts, coordinate with advisors, and lead contractual negotiations, providing guidance to project leaders as neededReview and approve subcontractors and their documentation; certify payments and assess defined costs, forecasts, and pain/gain shares under relevant contract optionsAudit contractor/consultant accounts, conduct delay damages calculations, and review compensation event applications and payment requestsEstablish and review contract management strategies, set and monitor KPIs in incentive schedules, and maintain a KPI libraryReview and approve performance evaluations and improvement plans for contractors/consultantsBuild and oversee a team of Contract Administrators, fostering collaboration within the project teamProvide assurance on tender processes, contract documentation, and contractor/consultant selection and appointmentQualificationsMinimum 10 years’ experience, with at least 5 years of contract management, administration and NEC experienceAt least Bachelor degree (Honours Bachelor Degree) (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g. Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Cost and Commercial Management or similarMaster’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma in a related field would be advantageousNEC RegChartered status with SCSI / RICS, IEI, ICE or equivalentDetailed understanding and expertise in NEC contract management, particularly within the rail industryDemonstrated ability to manage contracts for complex, large-scale projects such as metro rail initiativesProficient in overseeing contractor and consultant performance, and establishing robust performance management frameworksExperienced in developing, implementing, and maintaining Key Performance Indicator librariesStrong claims management expertise and proven experience with contract administration, especially in the NEC suiteSkilled at developing individual contract management strategies and putting them into effective practiceEffective in managing stakeholder relationships at all levels to drive process improvements and support successful project delivery and reportingAdept at leading and managing contract administration teamsAdvanced analytical and negotiation skillsStrong skills in report writing, presentations, and overall communicationComputer literate, with knowledge of contract management systems such as CEMAR and UnifierBenefitsWe’re strong believers in continual training and development for our people.
