Job Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Social Care Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing two residential services supporting young people.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in social care and management, with experience in supervising and leading teams. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the two residential services;
* Supervising a team of staff members;
* Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care is delivered to service users;
* Monitoring and evaluating the performance of staff members and services;
* Collaborating with other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care;
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
* QQI Level 7 BA in Applied Social Studies, Social Care or equivalent;
* Management qualification in Health/Social Care or currently obtaining;
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory/management capacity;
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on current legislation, best practice, and individual circumstances;
* Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and standards and all relevant legislation;
* Experience in strategic and local change management;
* Hold a full clean driving license and access to a car;
