Responsibilities
Purchase and hire equipment, materials and/or services for assigned projects.
Responsible for procurement to pay process from sourcing to assisting with invoice clearance
Supplier sourcing and negotiations
Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders
Create and Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries
Expected to work with only general supervision
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers
Negotiate vendor alliances and rebate agreements.
Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
Ensure that the Authority Matrix is followed stringently.
Conduct site visits to meet with project teams. Some European travel required.
Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager
Essential Criteria
Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work well as part of a team towards a common goal.
Negotiating experience
Desirable Criteria
A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
Previous SAP experience.
Knowledge of Tool and plant for construction an advantage.
