Overview
Maynooth University wishes to appoint a Cybersecurity Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
This manager-level appointment (SAOIV grade) will report directly to the Head of Operations within IT Services.
The Cybersecurity Manager will oversee a new Cybersecurity Team within the IT Services Directorate and report to the Head of IT Operations.
The postholder will lead on operational cyber security activities and work closely with Directorate staff and with relevant areas across the University.
This position will play a critical role in helping to protect and secure University information and data, identity, infrastructure, and our systems and devices by overseeing day-to-day cybersecurity operations and cyber incident response.
The post holder will work closely with senior managers and will input directly to Policy development and oversee the implementation of related policies, processes and controls.
The position will directly input to the development and implementation of our cybersecurity strategy roadmap and planned mitigations for cyber related risks and threats.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
Proven leadership skills, coupled with technical expertise and a security by design mindset.
Experience of creating and/or implementing a zero-trust strategy in the higher education sector or a similar sector.
Salary
Senior Administrative Officer IV *****): €70,034 – €111,202 p.a. (7 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
