Assistant Project Managerrequired for a highly reputable, long established main building contractor to work on an iconic high profile project in North County Dublin. Our client has a fantastic reputation, high staff retention levels and many of the senior management of the company joined the company at this level and lower. Ideally we are looking for a Senior Engineer with strongCivilsexperience -as this role will manage several civils packages on this project.Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure that foremen and operatives clearly understand the information provided.Develop and maintain professional working relationships with work colleagues and Design Teams.Review detailed design, critique and communicate with designersCoordinate the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors.Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality standardsFollow direction as part of a team and attend meetings as required.Ensure setting-out information is relevant and available in a format that can be easily communicatedManage and lead a team of engineers and sub-contractors.Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.Management of subcontractors/general workforce on site.Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved.Liaise with client's representatives/Design Team members as appropriate.Ordering and control of materials on site.Maintaining the site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors.Maximise profit through your day-to-day actions: good self-management, accuracy in own work, elimination of re-work and contractual awareness.RequirementsEngineering or Construction Management Degree Qualified7 years' experience approx. in site engineering role or similar.Strong Civils Project experienceWorked as a Senior Engineer previouslyStrong communication skillsAbility to prioritise workload / excellent time management.Ability to work on own initiative.Some previous experience in similar capacityStrong IT skillsCareer minded, energetic and enthusiastic.Package:€75k-€85kCompany Vehicle or travel allowanceBenefits packageIf you are anAssistant Project Manager consideringa career move, please feel to send your CV or contact Declan Hasson for a confidential discussion.
