Business Development Manager - Leinster (Opticians, Pharmacies, GPs)
On the Irish Retail team, this is a full-time permanent role for someone based in Leinster, Ireland. A full, clean Irish driver's license is required.
This role involves representing our client as a sales and business development professional within the Leinster region. The role involves acting as a point of contact on a local level for customers, including Opticians, Pharmacies, Secondary Care, and General Practice, to maximize service-oriented contact and increase product usage.
The role includes delivering marketing and business objectives, maximizing resource return, and operating within defined standards and ethics. BDMs work with some supervision but are capable of planning and executing activities independently, with a thorough understanding of the Eyecare & Healthcare Product Portfolio.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver business & marketing objectives related to sales and activities.
* Conduct sales calls and presentations to customers in pharmacies, hospitals, healthcare institutions, and GP practices.
* Develop and maintain selling skills, utilize promotional materials, and represent the company professionally.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and third-party stakeholders, sharing best practices.
* Manage territory planning, promotional budgets, and monitor performance against objectives.
* Maintain product and market knowledge, understand account strategies, and develop key opinion leaders.
* Monitor competitor activities and changes in HSE structure and policies.
* Participate in personal development, training, and shadow visits.
* Maintain accurate CRM records, understand company systems, and complete administrative tasks promptly.
Education and Experience:
* Degree in Healthcare or Science.
* 1-3 years of experience in medical sales, with a track record of high performance.
* Full driving license and proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Ability to interpret sales data, clinical information, and work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
