Architectural Technician: Salary / Remuneration Package Negotiable Overall Purpose Of Job: We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Architectural Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Preparation of feasibility, Pre-Planning, Planning and working drawings for the construction process for Commercial, Industrial and Retail Schemes to support multiple ongoing projects across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Technical Drawing & Design:Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and diagrams for structures, installations, and construction projects using CAD and other drafting tools. Project Documentation:Prepare production information, including working drawings, schedules, and specifications for the construction process. Site Surveys & Analysis:Conduct site surveys, collect technical data, and analyse factors like space and site requirements that affect architectural designs. Regulatory Compliance:Advise on building codes, by-laws, planning applications, and other technical documents to ensure designs meet legal and regulatory requirements. Material Selection:Select and advise on appropriate construction materials that meet design and performance criteria Project Support:Work closely with architects and clients to develop designs and resolve complex structural or design issues during construction. Site Inspection:Inspect completed building work to ensure it aligns with design plans and specifications. Project Management:Assist in managing projects, including contract bids, tender preparation, and tracking progress. Team Collaboration:Work Collaboratively with Architects, Other Technicians, Construction Managers, And Clients. Qualifications: Diploma in Architectural Technology with 3+ years working in the construction industry (commercial/ residential). Excellent technical knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations. Strong understanding of building materials and construction technology. Proficiency in CAD software (like AutoCAD) and potentially BIM software (like Revit).
