About the Role
The role of Facades Manager involves overseeing the construction of facades for residential and commercial projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and programming the overall facade construction programme from start to finish in conjunction with the Project Manager.
* Carrying out technical appraisal of subcontractors' proposals to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Chairing regular facade progress meetings to review safety, quality, resources, program, site coordination and interface works.
* Managing the technical submittals, tracking sign-off and BCAR approvals process for the facade scope.
* Using BIM field or similar to review project quality and conduct a full checklist for each specific system with photographic evidence for BCL and client records.
* Using BIM plan or similar to review two-week 'look ahead' and ensure work does not clash with any other contractors proposed work and creating a contingency plan if any work should clash.
* Liaising with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure facade is delivered within budget and programme.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A proven history of managing facades projects.
* A minimum of five years' experience as a Facades Manager.
* A trade qualification or construction qualification.
* A strong sense of ownership over projects.
