The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer who enjoys solving IT challenges and working directly with clients. In this role, you'll spend two days per week onsite with one of our largest customers, providing dedicated support and building a strong relationship with their team.
The rest of your time will be a mix of onsite visits with other clients, remote technical support, and delivering IT projects across multiple technologies. You'll play a key role in keeping systems secure and running smoothly while leading maintenance days and contributing to impactful IT solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
* Provide hands-on support across client environments (onsite and remote).
* Conduct routine maintenance, service days, and system checks.
* Deliver and support small-to-medium IT projects (Microsoft 365, networking, servers, firewalls, backup).
* Ensure changes are documented, compliant, and effectively communicated.
* Collaborate with clients and the internal team to maintain satisfaction and trust.
* Develop and update support documentation.
* Research and test new technologies to enhance future offerings.
* Escalate issues appropriately and proactively.
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
* 2–3 years' relevant IT support or field service experience.
* Full, clean driving licence.
* Strong working knowledge of:
* Microsoft 365 (Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Security Compliance)
* Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware)
* Disaster Recovery (Datto BCDR, Azure Site Recovery)
* Windows Server (2008–2022, AD, Group Policy, DHCP/DNS, RDS, SQL Server)
* Networking (VLANs, managed switches, routers, wireless)
* Security (firewalls, endpoint protection, spam/web filtering)
* Backup solutions (Veeam, ArcServe, Azure Backup, etc.)
Nice to Have (or we'll train you):
* Experience with advanced cybersecurity tools.
* Specialisation in specific vendor technologies.
* Work within regulated or compliance-heavy industries.
Salary Benefits
* Salary: €50,000 - €60,000 (depending on experience).
