NexVentur is seeking to hire an operationally focused Site Agent to join our clients' team in Dublin, a tier 1 civil engineering & utilities contractor.Our client delivers critical multi-million euro infrastructure frameworks across the water, gas, power, telecoms, and public realm sectors.Known for handling high-intensity urban engineering environments, they act as a direct partner to key national utility bodies, local authorities, and tier-1 developers.You will lead multiple site crews, ensuring works are delivered strictly on schedule & budget.Role and ResponsibilitiesSupervise, mentor, and co-ordinate multiple site crews, direct engineers, and specialised sub-contractors on active urban projects.Act as the primary on-site interface for client representatives, utility asset owners, and local authority inspectors. Professionally manage interactions with members of the public to minimize disruption.Strong emphasis on H&S compliance.Supervise urban traffic management layouts, manage road opening licences (T2/T3/T4), and co-ordinate footprint surveys prior to and post-installation.Maintain site documentation, including accurate site diaries, progress photography, timesheets, and materials/plant logistics logs.Project will include: Deep storm/foul water drainage installation, sewer rehab works, city corridor overhauls, and civil packages supporting high voltage grid connections.Skills & Experience3–5+ years of experience in a Site Supervisor, Site Engineer, or Site Agent role specifically within the civil engineering, urban drainage, or utilities (water, gas, electricity, telecoms) sectors in Ireland or the UK.Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a highly relevant technical trade background backed by extensive utilities infrastructure experience.Excellent commercial awareness of site costs, solid I.T. literacy, and a thorough understanding of the health, safety, and environmental standards required for streetworks.Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and CSCS/Signing, Lighting & Guarding (SLG) or Location of Underground Services (LUS) qualifications are desirable.Full clean Irish driving license is essential.Pay & packageCompetitive base salary with structured, performance-related annual bonuses.Company vehicle & fuel card, and toll tag.Pension scheme and health/wellbeing benefits.Pathways for career progression into a Project Manager or Contracts Manager role, fully supported by certified CPD (Continuous Professional Development) training frameworks.What's nextIf you are interested in this role, please apply through the link above, with an updated CV, or email jimmy@nexventur.com
