Vocational Counselor Role

Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Vocational Counselor to join our team.
* Evaluate clients' job readiness and job search skills through assessments and evaluations.
* Develop vocational/educational goals and objectives for clients in collaboration with the treatment team.
* Provide individual and group counseling to support clients in making informed vocational decisions and securing employment.
* Conduct Comprehensive Vocational Assessments for clients transferring within the agency for Reintegration/Re-Entry Services.
* Maintain accurate, complete, and timely client records, adhering to external regulatory standards and agency policies.
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and in-service training to stay updated on best practices.
* Establish linkages with community-based resources to support clients' transition into employment.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field such as Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling.
* At least one year of experience in an agency providing vocational rehabilitation counseling to substance users and/or clients in other types of behavioral healthcare settings.
* Strong vocational assessment, individual and group vocational/job preparation skills.
* Working knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities and client self-help/support modalities.
* Excellent writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR).
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a diverse environment.
