Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and protecting the environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and enhance the Health and Safety Management System.
* Participate in scheduled audits of the Management System.
* Stay informed about current and new Health and Safety regulatory requirements and guidelines.
* Maintain plant statistics, performance records, and other data necessary to maintain EH&S Management System status and comply with regulatory requirements.
* Represent the organization to outside parties, such as regulatory agencies.
* Collaborate with Supervisors, Trainers, and Technicians to identify and control significant environmental, health, and safety impacts of operations.
* Ensure all required records are prepared and maintained.
* Participate in and prepare for EHS inspections by external agencies, and all system audits.
* Investigate, prepare, communicate, and manage reports on incidents, injuries, ill-health, and corrective actions as required.
* Conduct risk assessments including ergonomic evaluations.
* Maintain and update SDS's and chemical inventories.
* Support and contribute to the site's life safety programs to include emergency response.
