Head of HR / Dublin West Our client is a large organisation with a strong employee engagement environment. They are seeking a Head of HR to support the HR Director and manage a HR Team. Excellent remuneration package. Hybrid model after probationary period. The Role: Support the HR Director in the development and implementation of best practice HR Strategies. Play a leadership role as a member of the Senior HR Directorate Management Team. Input into the development and implementation of ER/IR strategies and change management programmes fostering positive staff engagement Deliver change through partnership with the various internal and external stakeholders. Lead a team of HR professionals in supporting the line managers and staff Lead on aspects of the development and implementation of strategies to improve efficiencies Demonstrate behaviour consistency with the values of the organisation. Create and promote healthy working relationships. Commitment to continuous professional development including completion of relevant internal training programmes available through our Centre for Learning & Development Prospectus. Report to the HR Director HR Department Ensure that the management and practices of the HR Divisions meet statutory obligations, reflect best HR Practice and support the implementation of the Strategy. Ensure that the service capacity, model and skills in the HR Divisions are responsive to current and future demands and change. Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of HR Strategy and associated policies in support of the overall strategy, ensuring employee effectiveness and motivation are maximised. Completion of relevant training and availing of supports in the Leadership Academy including coaching, mentoring and leadership development as applicable. Lead the HR Divisions in identifying improvements and initiatives to the HR Service. Identifying personal development opportunities required for the teams within the HR divisions on an ongoing basis. Work closely with the other members of the Senior HR Team in ensuring the consistent delivery of an efficient service within the HR Directorate. Support the performance and analytics HR function to add value and contribute to the overall effectiveness. HR Business Partnering Provide effective leadership on employee relation matters and ensure the adoption of mechanisms for staff representation, communication and consultation across the organisation to foster productive and effective relationships with staff and their representatives. Prepare documentation/submission with regards to IR issues and represent the organisation at Third Party fora. Responsibility for ensuring that the HR team provide professional support, leadership and advice to line managers in relation to HR best practice including Employment Law, HR Policies & Procedures and staff relations. Responsibility for the identification and implementation of organisational development initiatives and structures which support leadership development, innovation, flexibility and high performance. Talent Acquisition/Workforce Planning Oversight and responsibility for the Recruitment Strategy and workforce planning. Ensure that the recruitment team are mindful of best practices and that they foster a highly consultative relationship with the business. HR Business Services Oversight and responsibility for ensuring that the HR Business Services team is efficient in its provision of administration services to the line mangers and staff. Oversight and responsibility for ensuring the highest standard of data integrity within the HR /Payroll Management information systems and full compliance with all relevant legislation including Data Protection. Ensure the maintenance of accurate staff records and related information and responsibility for the regular and ad hoc workforce information to appropriate audiences. The Candidate: Third level HR Degree essential; Masters desirable 5 years HR experience at a senior level in a very large organization Minimum of 3 years Supervisory / Management experience Public sector union experience desirable A detailed understanding and experience of modern, evidence-based HR practices and robust grasp of Irish employment and other relevant legislation. Extensive knowledge or workforce planning, recruitment and retention issues Evidence of successful management of strategic change projects and modernising services in a complex organisational environment Essential - Comprehensive experience of ER/IR, including a detailed knowledge of grievance, disciplinary and collective bargaining procedures.
