Role Description

The Engineer Intern provides essential support to the engineering team in project planning, design, testing, and implementation. This internship offers hands-on exposure to professional engineering practices and tools, allowing the intern to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and eager to learn, with a strong technical foundation and a passion for developing practical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist engineers in the design, analysis, and documentation of projects under supervision.
* Support the creation of detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models using CAD or relevant software.
* Conduct research, data collection, and simulations to aid in product or process development.
* Participate in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototypes or systems.
* Record and analyze test results, identify inconsistencies, and recommend improvements.
* Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and presentations for internal and client use.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, design, and quality assurance to ensure project success.
* Help monitor project timelines and ensure deliverables are completed according to specifications.
* Support the development of new processes, tools, or materials to improve engineering efficiency.
* Participate in field visits, inspections, or on-site evaluations when required.
* Learn and apply engineering standards, safety procedures, and company quality policies.
* Maintain accurate records of project activities, data, and design revisions.
* Contribute ideas for innovation, sustainability, and process improvement within projects.

Qualifications

* Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).
* Foundational understanding of engineering principles, design methodologies, and analysis techniques.
* Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or similar tools.
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good written and verbal communication abilities for technical documentation and teamwork.
* Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with guidance.
* Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Basic knowledge of safety, quality control, and engineering regulations is an advantage.
* Previous internship or project-based experience in engineering is beneficial but not required.
