ROLE – Food & Beverage Assistant
Role Summary
As a Food & Beverage Assistant at the Lady Gregory Hotel, you will be part of our dedicated hospitality team, delivering excellent service in our restaurant, bar, and banqueting areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for hospitality, and thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Service
* Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests.
* Take food and drink orders accurately and deliver them promptly.
* Ensure guests' needs are anticipated and exceeded throughout their dining experience.
* Handle guest queries or complaints in a polite and professional manner.
Food & Beverage Operations
* Prepare, set up, and clear down restaurant, bar, and function areas.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all F&B outlets.
* Follow correct procedures for serving drinks, including barista and bar service (training provided).
* Assist with banquets, weddings, and events to ensure smooth service.
* Support stock rotation and replenishment of supplies.
Teamwork & Compliance
* Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to deliver seamless service.
* Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures including HACCP requirements.
* Adhere to hotel policies, licensing laws, and cash handling procedures.
* Be flexible to assist across various F&B outlets as required.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience Preferred but Not Essential
* Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment is desirable.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to €35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
