Milford Care Centre, Limerick Serving the people of the Mid-West Milford Care Centre is a Section 38 organisation, working in partnership with the HSE Mid-West, and provides a comprehensive range of Specialist Palliative Care Services and Services for Older People across Counties Clare, Limerick, and North Tipperary. WE ARE INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF Maintenance Assistant Foreman Fixed Term Contract - 3 years 39 hours per week Qualifications & Experience Essential Recognised trade qualification (e.g., National Craft Certificate, Senior Trades Certificate, or equivalent) or 7+ years' experience in in building, plant, or facilities maintenance. Minimum 2+ years' post-qualification experience in building, plant, or facilities maintenance. Demonstrated experience in a maintenance team environment with responsibility for operational duties. Desirable Experience supervising staff or contractors. Experience in maintenance of large or complex facilities. Training such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, or equivalent (or willingness to undertake). Skills, Competencies & Knowledge Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan workloads and meet deadlines. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Competent IT skills (email, MS Office, digital maintenance systems). Commitment to providing a high-quality service to staff and service users.
