R&D Engineer (Graduate)
– Location: Parkmore, Galway (Hybrid working)
My client is a growing Medical Device company that has recently moved into a high-tech site in Parkmore.
They have developed an innovative technology to improve the performance of vascular stents.
As an R&D Engineer you will play a key role in the company's current projects and R&D team.

Responsibilities
Perform project tasks ensuring adherence to the company's procedures developed in compliance with ISO *****, the Medical Device Directives and FDA 21 CFR 820.
Provide design, development and technical input to the company's development projects.
Packaging development, including design and testing required for new and existing products under development.
Test method development, documentation, training and validation.
Support the development of manufacturing processes using tools such as design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and design for manufacturing (DFM).
Summarise in-vitro test data and communicate the results to project team leaders and functional groups.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of concepts and applications in mechanical and process engineering.
Use systematic problem-solving principles to learn and execute analytical techniques such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Six Sigma and statistics.
Work with the QA Department to develop test, verification and validation procedures (including design review).
Manage and coordinate procedures, protocols, reports and purchases relevant to the R&D tasks assigned to you, keeping the R&D Project Manager updated.
Education & Training
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a local equivalent in a scientific discipline and/or appropriate experience.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise project tasks and meet deadlines.
