Top Oil is recruiting for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Kilkenny Team on a fixed term contract for 6 months.
The Irish Sales and Marketing business (Top Oil) is on a journey to become the industry leader. The appointment of an Inside Sales Representative will help to drive the Commercial fuel agenda in the Commercial Business. The right person will work off their own initiative, structure their own day while being responsible for selling commercial fuels to new and existing customers over the phone.
This role will report directly to Domestic Sales Manager whilst working closely with Commercial Sales Manager and Local Business Development manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Main Duties/ Responsibilities:
* You will be maintaining and developing relationships with our existing long-term customers focusing on customer delivery, margin and retention whilst driving the commercial agenda.
* Setting up new domestic/commercial customers while the customer is on the phone ensuring data is accurate and complete
* You will be proactive in prospecting new business and maintain existing and targeting inactive through telephone and email-based selling throughout the region.
* We want you to work off your own initiative to develop and maintain a pro-active attitude towards clients and client requests
* First point of contact on the phones ensuring all incoming calls are handled in an efficient manner
* You will be ensuring first-class Customer Service levels are always met
* Working closely with our operations team to ensure timely delivery to all customers
* Achieving monthly targets - volume, margin, Ebitda, New/Inactive business
* Maintain and update sales pipeline in Salesforce in accordance with company guidelines
* Work hand in hand with the Business Development Managers in your area
* Full responsibility for commercial accounts for your area with a view to maximizing volume
* Ensure customer data is kept up to date on all accounts – eg…address, sales contact name and number, email, credit limits, eircode, products, delivery details, safety information.
* Manage the commercial aged debt proactively ensuring accounts are paid within agreed credit terms & eft/DD Conversions are managed proactively.
* Provide update on overdue accounts to Credit Manager as per company guidelines
* Complete weekly outbound campaigns to achieve set targets
What you'll need to succeed:
* Experience in oil industry is desirable
* Superior customer service skills with the ability to identify a customer's needs efficiently.
* The ability to prioritize workload
* We want you to be confident to work off your own initiative.
* Fluent in English both written and oral
* PC literate – MS Office and Outlook

* Ability to understand and develop business cases, understand cost/benefit models and ability to take calculated risks
* Ability to champion Irving Oil's/Top Oils values, goals and objectives.
* Strong judgement and ability to identify critical situations and respond accordingly.

Education and experience
* Sales experience essential/preferable
* Knowledge of the industry and its competitors
