**Job Title:** Technical Support Specialist
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be part of our team providing technical assistance to equipment engineers in the development and improvement of custom automated equipment for manufacturing processes.
This role involves working with various tools and systems, including robotic equipment and vision systems, analyzing test results, and preparing detailed documentation. You will also be responsible for performing operational tests and fault isolation on automated systems, carrying out activities under the supervision of project engineers, and updating equipment-related documents as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies using specialized test equipment
* Analyze and record test results, preparing comprehensive written reports
* Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems
* Perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment
* Assist in equipment development under close supervision from project engineers
Requirements:
* A Level 6/7 qualification and at least 2-4 years of relevant experience are typically required
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications
* Familiarity with PLCs, Automated production/process equipment, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electro/Mechanical systems, Resistance welders, Packaging equipment is highly desirable
