What We Need:

Based in Dublin, Ireland 2 K games Share Development Studios group, is seeking a Lead Technical Artist for look development to join our team.
This role acts as the liaison between the sophisticated work performed by engineers, programmers, and artists who work on a wide variety of features across all of our franchises and games.
This role will report directly to the Director of Technical Art.
What You Will Do:
Research, build, and develop new technologies and art workflows while maintaining existing processes.
This includes environments, props, characters, shaders, lighting, and rigs.
Collaborate with Art and Engineering to drive research, workflows, and technologies for improved deformations, animation fidelity, and streamlined creation process.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to geometry, character rigs, animation, and simulation.
Become a proficient user and contributor of the existing toolset and workflow, making any necessary improvements to enhance the capabilities.
Coach, mentor and help team members grow.
Who Would Be A Great Fit:
Minimum of 6‑8+ years experience and advanced knowledge as a technical artist.
Proficient in Maya and Python with significant experience writing tools (Python, Py Side/Py Qt, C#/C++/Maya API)
Experience researching, piloting and rolling out new techniques
Understanding of game engine limitations
Self‑starter with a willingness to learn and grow as a member of the R&D team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Love for video games.
