They will proactively identify and drive opportunities for significant operational, process, or product improvements, while providing expert technical support across multiple functional areas.Major ResponsibilitiesProject & Technical LeadershipIndependently design, lead and manage complex projects, product improvements and investigations.Support or lead Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) technical activities as required.Recognise opportunities for major operational, process, and product improvements and propose innovative solutions.Perform or support method modifications, critical process parameter development and analytical performance evaluations.Identify and evaluate technical alternatives and make risk‑based decisions.Provide independent, cross‑functional technical data to support risk management activities.Design Control & Risk ManagementApply specialised product/process knowledge to create, review and maintain risk management files.Effectively balance business and compliance risk when making decisions.Investigations & Quality SupportIndependently manage complex complaint and internal investigations to resolution.Apply advanced statistical and project management tools during investigations.Provide audit support and input as required.Technical SupportProvide expert support to resolve complex technical and quality issues across Abbott Diagnostic Division (instruments, reagents, software, commodities).Anticipate, identify and resolve technical issues with minimal direction.Knowledge Sharing & CommunicationPresent complex technical information to internal and external stakeholders.Share scientific expertise with customers, regulatory agencies and cross‑functional teams.Mentor and coach peers to accelerate resolution of product or process issues.Strategy & Results OrientationDemonstrate fiscal responsibility through effective recommendations and project execution.Translate high‑level business goals into specific, actionable objectives.Align activities with strategic business priorities.Education & ExperienceYou will have a relevant third‑level qualification in a scientific and/or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
