Senior Tax Manager - Small Practice The Role We are seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join a growing tax team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Director and report directly to the Partners.
The role offers a strong mix of compliance and advisory work for both personal and corporate clients across all tax heads.

Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate clients Monitor portfolio performance, including billing, collections, and work-in-progress Prepare and review tax returns across a varied client base Manage and contribute to advisory assignments across: Corporate Tax Income Tax (including payroll taxes) Capital Gains Tax Capital Acquisitions Tax VAT Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing timely and practical tax advice Work closely with the Tax Director and Partners on complex tax projects Research and resolve tax technical issues Collaborate with colleagues across the wider firm Mentor, coach, and appraise junior staff, fostering a positive and development-focused team culture Skills & Experience Required CTA qualification is essential; ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) is desirable Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a professional practice environment At least 12 months experience in a management or supervisory role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities High level of attention to detail and organisational skills Enthusiastic team player with a commitment to continuous professional development Comfortable using tax software and proficient in Microsoft Office Benefits & Working Environment Competitive salary, based on experience and expertise 24 days annual leave, plus additional long-service entitlement Flexible working hours with core working patterns Hybrid working (up to 2 days working from home per week) Summer hours, including early Friday finishes during peak months Active social committee Professional subscription support Pension scheme Life assurance Income protection The Firm This firm offers a modern, flexible working environment that places strong emphasis on worklife balance, professional growth, and long-term career development.
