is seeking a Senior In-vitro Analyst to join our client in Mayo to establish a new suite of laboratories within strict timelines and manage the laboratory operations.
Our client is expanding the
Biosafety (In-Vitro Adventitious Agent)
line of business, including Virology and Mycoplasma laboratories, to meet growing testing needs involving cell culture, viral, and mycoplasma methods.
The role involves working in and helping establish a new Cell Culture and Virology Laboratory in Ballina, Co.
Mayo, Ireland.
Reporting to the
In-Vitro (Cell Culture/Virology) Supervisor
, responsibilities include:
Qualification and validation of all equipment in accordance with GMP standards.
Drafting SOPs and ensuring testing compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
Generating and qualifying cell banks for testing.
Establishing test method SOPs and validating methods as appropriate.
Core duties include:
Understanding regulatory guidelines.
Executing protocols and preparing reports.
Performing test method procedures.
Assisting with quality documents, audit responses, and deviation reports.
Participating in laboratory investigations and training.
Updating SOPs and generating risk assessments.
Minimum requirements:
BSc in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in scientific research, preferably within a GMP environment (EMEA/FDA).
Experience with in-vitro bioassays and project management is highly desirable.
Knowledge of virology and biosafety testing is highly desirable.
Proficiency in In-Vitro analytical techniques.
Additional desirable knowledge includes biosafety classifications and safety regulations (Biological Agents Regulations 2013).
Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving abilities and initiative.
