Quantity Surveyor

Aviation, Commercial, Residential, and Pharma
. This is a superb opportunity for a motivated professional to take a pivotal commercial role on significant and varied developments in the Irish market.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in the commercial and financial management of your assigned projects. You'll play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably, on time, and within budget, working closely with the Contracts Manager and site team.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost Control & Reporting:
Manage and monitor project costs, preparing detailed financial reports, cost value reconciliations (CVRs), and cash flow forecasts.
* Subcontractor Management:
Prepare and issue sub-contract tender packages, conduct negotiations, and administer sub-contract payments and final accounts.
* Valuations & Payments:
Prepare and agree monthly valuations with the client/PQS and ensure timely submission of payment applications.
* Change Management:
Accurately measure, value, and negotiate variations and compensation events with both the client and subcontractors.
* Risk & Opportunity:
Proactively identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
* Contract Administration:
Assist in the administration of the main contract and subcontracts, ensuring contractual compliance.
What You'll Bring
* Proven Experience:
Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Ireland.
* Sector Exposure:
Experience working on projects within one or more of the specified sectors (Commercial, Residential, Pharma, or Aviation) is highly advantageous.
* Commercial Acumen:
Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail and a focus on commercial outcomes.
* Contractual Knowledge:
Solid working knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts used in Ireland (e.g., RIAI, GCCC).
* Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the site team.
* Qualifications:
A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
