This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of Ireland's leading contractors on a large-scale construction projects in Cork. Position: Quantity Surveyor Location: Cork Salary: DOE plus bonus, pension, and company car The main responsibilities include: Manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Monitor project progress and provide detailed financial reports, forecasting and cash flow analysis. Ensure accurate valuation of completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors. Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work. Assess, manage and resolve any contractual or commercial risks. Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery. Support procurement processes and assist in the negotiation of subcontractor packages. Ensure compliance with contract requirements, relevant regulations, and internal company procedures. Participate in value engineering exercises and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably on large-scale construction projects. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline. Proficiency in ABM or similar financial/project management software. Strong analytical, financial reporting, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with Irish construction contracts and procurement procedures. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams and subcontractors. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Full clean driver's license.
