Lead Engineering Excellence
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for engineering strategy, performance and asset care. The site operates in a regulated, high-care manufacturing environment with significant automation and powder-processing technologies.
The successful candidate will join the Site Leadership Team and play a central role in shaping the future capability and performance of the facility. They will be responsible for leading and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team (process, projects and maintenance disciplines) and owning the site engineering strategy, capital plan and annual engineering budgets.
Reporting to the Site Director, the Lead Engineer will oversee maintenance, utilities, reliability and asset management to ensure safe and efficient production. They will also sponsor and deliver capital and improvement projects from scope definition through commissioning and drive continuous improvement using data, problem-solving methodology and Lean / CI tools.
Key qualifications include a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process or similar) and at least 10 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FMCG, pharma, biotech, food, medical devices or specialised nutrition). A strong track record in team leadership and developing engineering capability is essential, as well as experience managing capital projects and/or delivering new process capability.
