Overview
Co-operative Housing Ireland is seeking a National Stock Condition Surveyor to conduct surveying inspections of our residential properties, capture and update condition data and property attribute information.
Co-operative Housing Ireland is the national organisation representing, promoting, and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. It is an Approved Housing Body (AHB) and a member of the Housing Alliance, regulated by the Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority and the Charities Regulator.

Role
The surveyor conducts detailed surveys of various property types to evaluate their condition, compliance with standards, and maintenance needs. You will update and monitor Co-operative Housing Ireland’s stock condition software and work closely with the Head of Asset Management to ensure that delivery targets are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform stock condition surveys and report on remedial action
* Identify non-compliance with standards, report safety issues, and adhere to health and safety policies
* Analyse survey data to prioritise maintenance programs, support option appraisals, and assist in data cleansing for accurate records
* Collaborate with Regional Maintenance teams, housing staff, and teams to resolve issues; provide tenants technical advice (e.g., condensation, insulation); share insights in asset management meetings
* When required ensure properties meet the Housing (Standards for Rented Houses) Regulations 2019
* Assist the Regional Asset Manager in delivering the annual component replacement and deep retrofit, including quality assurance visits and liaison with 3rd party consultants and contractors
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with core external stakeholders
* Attend in-person and online meetings
Requirements
* NFQ Level 7 qualification in a surveying, property, engineering, or construction discipline or NFQ Level 6 Qualification in an electrical, construction or engineering-based trade with relevant experience
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar asset management, facilities management, or maintenance role
* Membership of a relevant professional organisation with an asset management focus (e.g. SCSI, RICS, EI) (desirable, not essential)
* Experience in using CAFM or CRM software
* Conscientious with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask
* Good knowledge of building construction and components
* Experience of building diagnosis and defects identification
