Security Firmware Engineer (Confidential Computing) - Cork - Onsite 5 Days Per WeekWe are seeking an experienced Security Firmware Engineer to develop secure computing environments for Edge and Data Center high-performance inference accelerators. You will focus on expanding Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) on server platforms and enabling hardware-assisted accelerators as trusted devices within multi-tenant deployments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development: Build security software for AI accelerators supporting TDISP-based trusted device assignment and interconnect security.Virtualization Security: Implement SR-IOV-based secure execution environments, focusing on the isolation and attestation of PCIe virtual functions.Protocol Integration: Develop PCIe security protocol software (SPDM, CMA, MCTP, IDE, DOE) based on DMTF and PCI-SIG specifications.Architecture & Policy: Integrate secure boot and attestation mechanisms while enforcing security policies within the TEE.Optimization & Debugging: Refine memory management within enclaves and resolve complex issues using JTAG, RAM dumps, and secure debug policies.Risk Management: Contribute to threat modeling and ensure compliance with OCP, TCG, and Confidential Computing Consortium standards.Technical QualificationsCore Skills: Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded software development (RTOS, device drivers, SoC architecture).Security Domain: Strong grasp of cryptographic primitives, secure boot, TPM, and platform-level security.Experience: 3+ years in system/embedded software, specifically for Compute or Server platforms.Protocols: Knowledge of TDISP, SPDM, IDE, DOE, and DICE.Tools: Experience with Git/Gerrit, compilers, profilers, and hardware debug tools (JTAG, logic analyzers).Preferred ExperienceHands-on experience with ARM TrustZone or RISC-V.Contributions to open-source security or virtualization projects.Background in TDISP and SR-IOV compliant Trusted VMs.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field with 2+ years of experience; OR * Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience; OR * PhD in a relevant technical field.In accordance with local employment laws, applicants must have current, valid authorisation to work in Ireland at the time of application.
