NbxTalent are currently recruiting for anEHS (Environmental Health Safety) Officer to join a growing construction firm based in Dublin with a reputation for its excellent working culture. The ideal candidate will have a construction or trade background as the role will consist of both site visits along with office based duties. The role entails the responsibility for monitoring & enforcing of health and safety standards across the business as a whole while also conducting investigations as required.ResponsibilitiesDevelop guidelines, processes and documentation to support the Company in addressing and enforcing the required standards within both health and safety and environmental legislationPrepare and inspect both Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) along with PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) documentationConducting both administrative and site audits to ensure contractual obligations are being metObserve personnel on-site to ensure EHS compliance. This will include monitoring specialist subcontractors, agency & direct employeesLead and coordinate incident investigations and utilise root cause analysisEnsure continued compliance with all regulatory standards including ISO14000 & ISO45001Be proactive in identifying both positive and negative incidents while possessing the ability to implement realistic corrective and preventive measuresManage & maintain employee training records in conjunction with the Training DepartmentCreate & develop content for the EHS intranet to include best practice policies & proceduresSkills & Qualification RequirementsDegree qualified, in an EHS discipline3-5 years’ EHS experience in a Facilities Management and/or Construction environment is essentialPossess anInternal Auditing accreditationto include Integrated Management Systems (ISO 14000 and ISO 45001).
